"Brilliant location with Panoramic views Excellent service with a caring touch Congratulations to the new owners for providing a great hotel in West Wales We last had a reunion 20 years ago when the hotel was looking a little tired but now what a difference. The Restaurant and breakfast facilities and meals were very good with no delays even with a full hotel The brasserie at the hotel entrance was also excellent. Will definitely return"

"A lovely place to stay with views to die for. The rooms were large and comfy, thought he mattress seemed a bit old. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good quality for a good price. Walking distance to the train station and a few nice pubs too. "

"Swift and easy check-in. The family room had two bedrooms which was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Could have done with a rubber bath mat but found out later we could have asked for one. Similarly de-caff tea and coffee I guess. We had our 4-year-old granddaughter with us but there were no issues with noise from the bar below. Limited menu but food was very good. Steaks were lovely. Nice pint too. Great breakfast. "From the moment we arrived we felt looked after by the warm and welcoming staff. The room was very modern but not characterless. Great breakfast for both veggie and non-veggie tastes as well. Make sure you try a few of the cocktails if you get the chance."

"We were very impressed with the Lion Hotel in Criccieth. It is in a great position with plenty of parking. It is a traditional character hotel, clean, well maintained and decorated with lovely staff. It was also great value, would recommend as a base to explore the beautiful Llyn Peninsula."

"One day stay in the manor, the food was excellent and the room was very clean. Only 2 small niggles, taps in the bathroom were useable but had pieces missing from them. The bed is on the small side for me, we are used to King size but these are smaller and on the hard side but didnt detract from our sleep but if you are 6ft you may want to check for bigger. Overall for the price in the area its is very good."

"Couldn't really fault for the price paid. Modern and spotless. Good location for the town, and very friendly helpful staff. All good. Nice boozer too. Public parking around the corner - and its free! Downside is its often full during the day - better to wait until after 5pm if you can. There are plenty of other parking options around the town. All personal preference - but a later check out would have been nice; we are not 10am people!"

"We didn't quite understand the check in process nor the lock box. We had made the reservation earlier that day and were unable to get email. Once we did and texted, it was explained how to enter and all was well. Worked very well for us."

"A bit off the beaten track with the last 2 miles being up a single vehicle road but the effort to get there is rewarded with the isolation that one can enjoy. Ideal as a walking base and this time for us as was part business we were often having to use the car to go into cardigan which spoils the purpose of being more country bound."

"This was our second stay and reminded us why we loved it the first time. The house is comfortable, the room spacious and the decor tasteful. We slept well on a comfortable bed and all the usuals in terms of tea and coffee were there along with a nice sized fridge if you wanted to put the champagne on ice.
