"The property was fit for purpose. We used it just to have a place to sleep and visit Freiburg and surroundings. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was very small for 2 people and their luggage (2 had fairly sizeable suitcases, since we were spending 3 weeks in Europe)."

"Conditions at the hotel are great but it had a bad start. I wanted to do without the hassle and check in at the hotel but there was no one on Sunday so I was wondering why I can't get in the hotel. "Ok place to stay with a small kitchenette, close to the train station & shops, and food places that are open relatively later during the evening. Note: there is no reception deck. You have to connect through emails/ calls. The same code is used to enter the building, your room, and other sections. The issue is that one is supposed to get code a day in advance, which has not worked well for 2 times I have stayed here. One gets a quick response after contacting the Vision Apartments support team...

"Overall we enjoy the stay very much. We used the sauna and pool which are in great conditions. The room is very large and has all necessary things. The only problem was the parking. There weren't enough places and people parked on the electrical chargers so we couldn't use them"

"We were really disappointed with our stay. The place was not clean at all — we found hair everywhere, which was very off-putting. The bathroom was dirty and had black bits on the floor, making it feel unhygienic. The freezer was also very dirty, with bits of hair inside it — absolutely unacceptable. "The hotel is in the perfect location - near to the train station and the city centre. Our room was a good size, bed was comfy, and there was a kettle for making tea and coffee, which was great. The only downside to our trip was the swimming pool and sauna were closed for renovations...and we had booked the hotel especially to use those facilities. "

"The only negative I can say is that the entrance to the hotel is not the easiest to find.l because you see the restaurant advertisement and not the hotel. However, that is such a minor complaimt. The room was clean and safe. The staff was so pleasnt, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was also ideally located to the tram and other locations. I highly recommend."

"This hotel is nestled in a quiet area. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. A bakery (great for breakfast treats) was nearby. We could walk to many places and we were right on the bus line to get to the train (and by staying we were able to ride the bus free). Also, the staff helped us navigate the buses and walking around. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Hotel Spalentor. "

"It was very unique being on the sixth floor, restaurant was beautiful, food and service excellent. Our room was perfect a d superclean, just had a very strong odor of either cleaning agent or spraying for something? That took away from the otherwise great room."

"A very nice property with friendly and attentive staff. Our room was large, lovely, and very well appointed. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom had a spa-like feel with both rainfall and handheld showerheads with great water pressure. Wonderful after a long day of travel! The neighborhood was so quiet that we slept undisturbed with our windows open!"
