"When I received a QR code to check in I was happy that it seemed it was going to be a quick check-in so we could get into our room asap and then go out and begin our holiday. It's a good concept but unfortunately it didn't work for any of the guests attempting to use them. We managed to check in but it failed to give us a key so we had to get assistance from reception. All of the staff here are very helpful and friendly. I think they should just remove the kiosks and place more desks there as...

"Stayed with my husband for the night. Warm welcome upon arrival and easy check in. Bedroom was nice and quiet and up high as requested which was great. Room was warm through the night but air con worked well. Bar staff need to be better trained as I requested a Bacardi and coke and it was server in a pint glass! Breakfast £16 pp so didn’t eat here. Always stay in this area of york as close to centre. We used Q parking at the Barbican and it worked out at £14 for 24 hours and was only a 5 minute...

"Nice spacious room, close to city centre with very, very friendly staff and excellent service... Food was excellent with lots of choice at breakfast, which was included in the price. Only minor point was that there were a couple of little decorative tired bits around the edges like the net curtain had a tear for example... But it was nothing so big as to take the shine off our stay. Would return absolutely and would highly recommend."
