"Generally the stay was good. All the staff in the hotel were very helpful. The lady who cleaned our room were especially very helpful and always having smile on her face. Downside was Room was pretty old .. and smell of sewage came out from the bathroom every night"

"Its a comfortable hotel on a very nice stretch of beach- Yalong Bay. The area is not exactly the 'Hawaii of China' as its stated to be. That's overstated. The room was adequate and comfortable and the food prices were exorbitant for what you get. Breakfast also good but very limited Western food."

"Hotel is dated and needs a refurbishment. The addition of a heat pool would allow for winter swimming like at other hotels in Sanya. Restaurants were limited in selection and tired. Location seemed away from the any other decent off-site dining so overall not a great location if you are looking for a winter retreat. "

"Lovely two day stay at the Villa in Sanya, away from any crowds and a nice beachfront mostly to ourselves. Breakfast was quite good even if dinner on-site was more average, but quite close to downtown Sanya so plenty of local dining options within easy reach. Very pleasant little retreat!"

We stayed at a Renaissance here four years ago and overall I felt the service and attention to detail there was much better than the Begonia, even though the Begonia is more expensive and considered more luxury. "This is my second time here. Great breakfast buffet! So many options, my family enjoyed a lot. Hotel is a bit old… I need to push super hard to close my room door. I booked a private pool room but the pool doesn’t look clean… Overall the experience was good because of the breakfast but prob wont come back again unless they renovate or have new activities going around."

"Hotel is old, gives a feeling of renewal is needed. On the minus side: - many rooms /baths need renovation, coridorrs are -No pool bar! What they call poolbar serves only water and plain tea. Not even a coke. For coffee or a beer you need to go to the cafebar, which is located at the main reception. "There are no pans or utensils to cook in the room. There were no glasses or wine glasses, the kitchen is just for decoration. There is no washer and dryer in the room as stated in the room description. Had a huge building right in front of the room, so close that I needed to use the blinders all the time. "
