"As always a trip to Hawaii is amazing and during this, our second stay at HBR, we were very happy with our visit. Particularly amazing was the attentive, prompt and friendly cart service especially from Jaloni. He was a highlight and certainly Raffy and Wolf along with Ryan and the rest of the staff at Happy Talk made our visit so fun. We loved the views of Hanalei Bay and Bali High and our room was mostly comfortable. We could have used a few more towels more than just twice in our 2 week stay and noticed the louvred doors really needed dusting. The first couple nights without AC in the second bedroom were a small challenge, but they provided an extension cord so we could position the floor fan in the doorway to blow in the cooler air from the rest of the unit into the room to sleep. We'll definitely return!"

"lovely peaceful old world place. Beautiful grounds. If you are looking for the antithesis of the high rise tourist hotel, this is it! The black sand beach is great for walking or riding horseback, but not swimable. ( the pool is popular) We loved sitting on our porch in the morning looking at the ocean hearing the birds. And watching the sunsets in the hammocks or lawn chairs was great! Very friendly laid back place. We were disappointed that the restaurant on the grounds wasn’t better and there weren’t many options nearby."

"Beautiful boutique hotel with a relaxing vibe. All staff team members were great and very accomodating to all of our needs. Would like to especially applaud Dawn at the front desk, night shift . We didn't quite change over to the time zone and she was such a delight in the early morning hours, even grabbing coffee for me before Normal Cafe hours . A true delight was an invitation for wine tasting by the lovely owners and their children . These special touches sealed the deal for us, we will be returning !"

"Whalers Cove Oceanfront Resort is top notch! We could not have asked for more…ocean views right from our living room, the sound of crashing waves to lull you to sleep each night, steps away from the heated pool and hot tub overlooking the Pacific and a beautiful, grassy lawn overlooking the ocean just perfect for whale, sea turtle and dolphin watching. Our unit was spacious with an open kitchen, dining and living room. Large bathrooms with walk in showers and double sinks, a huge walk in closet and nice kitchen with full size appliances. The unit was well appointed with a relaxed island feel. It is very comfortable and stocked with any amenity you may need. We especially enjoyed the framed prints of photos taken by the owner of beautiful spots all around Hawaii (and the binoculars)! The General Manager was exceptional from the time we booked until after our departure, as was the rest of the staff. Everyone we encountered at the resort were warm and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. Communication and recommendations from the manager for local attractions were spot on and certainly added to our trip. We booked a boat tour based on her recommendation and had a blast. We were amazed at the ocean wildlife we saw…Manta Rays, Humpback Whales breaching, Monk Seals, Spinner and Bottle Nose Dolphins…all set to the breathtaking beauty of the Na’Pali Coast. "
