"The room was clean, but the mini fridge was left unplugged and someone left food in it so it continued to make the room smell horrible. We had to wait a while at the front desk, because the lady was outside and didn’t hear the bell ring multiple times. Didn’t like that the door was a key. So if there’s more than one person staying and someone left and the other stayed, the other was locked in basically. "The location and views were incredible! Our room was lovely; very clean, comfortable and charming. and there was so much care and detail for our 5 year old: special sheep sheets, a kids dining set for breakfast- it really made her feel special. Breakfast was delicious, and the stocked fridge to purchase beer or wine was really nice in the evening after we put our little one to sleep - we had a beer on our balcony looking up at the castle and out to the river. We will definitely need to return! "

"Very nice, small, apparently family run hotel with a big room with a sofa and queen bed. It's a bit too far to walk to the center of town, but it is located in a quiet area and has free parking. The included breakfast is excellent. Everything was fresh and tasty. Even cooked eggs to order for us. The hotel restaurant offers a traditional German dinner menu. Our only issue is the stairs are somewhat steep. The staff are very helpful and kind. "

"Great choice for an overnight stop driving further south, but next time, would like to stop for 3 nights to take advantage of the hotel bikes and cycle up and down the Mosel. Lovely sunny terrace for drinks and to eat our evening meal, and the breakfast was splendid."

"This is a very unique property in that you check yourself in through a machine and locate your room by yourself. There is a communal dining area where you can prepare your own food. We had an issue with noise, being at the front of the hotel, and the manager who was present in the morning moved us and upgraded us to a remarkable room with a balcony! This is a beautiful property! It is very unique. The service was outstanding!"

"This property was a little further out but it was very easy to navigate your way into the center of town-we walked to everything from this hotel! The staff were excellent and the hotel breakfast was the best we had in our travels. We traveled by bike and they had hotel storage and early check in. Would definitely stay again!"

But we have been in Germany for over two weeks and have stayed at 6 other hotels, and this was the one that just didn’t meet the same standards. It is in a great area and the room was pretty clean, but they do need a good amount of maintenance. "Beautiful location overlooking the Mosel River. Park the car in the public lot and walk about 300 meters to the hotel. Room key is in the lockbox and easy to access once you have the code. We had breakfast at the restaurant located down the street from the hotel and it was fantastic. We enjoyed the Weihnachten Festival just down the street from the hotel (100 meters). "
