"Wonderful hotel steps from Cathedral San Marco and Doge’s Palace. Excellent breakfast and afternoon tea. Staff are professional, friendly, courteous. Short hike to Rialto bridge. Includes complimentary tour of a Murano glass factory although the ride back drops you off a considerable distance from the hotel. I absolutely recommend this hotel."

"The hotel is less than a five minute walk from the trains, which I promise you is critical as we saw many struggling through the streets with their suitcases. Our check in experience was fantastic and the staff are very kind, with helpful recommendations. They have luggage storage on site which provides a great piece of mind. The room itself was tucked away and quiet. Very clean room, bedding and washroom. They also have a great indoor lounge and outdoor terrace. The breakfast was plentiful and had many options for everyone. Would definitely recommend Hotel Abbazia for your stay in Venice!"

"The hotel is on the island of Lido about a 40 minute taxi boat ride away from Venice. We didn't realize just how far away it is, it's not a convenient place to visit Venice. HOWEVER, the hotel is Beautiful and is literally on the beach. There is something about walking along the shore of the Adriatic Sea. The beds were comfortable, and rooms large for Italy. "
