Small all-inclusive resort offers a unique Caribbean experience. Picturesque individual cottages are peppered on a hill and offer different attractions. We had sunset room 16, which is midway between the two sides of the resort, and has a nice balcony and outdoor shower. The beaches on either side of the resort are unreal - turquoise waters and fine white sand perfect for swimming, crazy scenery – these beaches are some of the finest I’ve seen. The bars (three) are generally always open and happy to stir you up a cocktail. The people working at this property are extremely hospitable folks and many went out of their way to make the experience special (Anisha and Waseba come to mind). The one restaurant is limited and a sit down experience but keep in mind there are only about 45 cottages, so it works, giving the eating experience a grade of civility and class. The nature is amazing, the place is exotic by many standards and we loved our stay. Is it for everyone? No, but it’s about what you are looking for. Being the resort is on a hill, it means you have to walk on some steep inclines (plus stairs) to get from the rooms to the two beaches and restaurant. Unless there are mobility issues this shouldn’t deter anyone. The real issue is the fact that these pathways (up and down from the rooms) get slippery when wet, and it rains often enough – I slipped a few times in flip flops going down to breakfast. The food is ok, and superbly presented, but in my view, just mediocre.
