"This resort is a hidden GEM to the point that I almost don’t want to write about it because I don’t want everyone to know. We were freestyling it through the keys on our way to key west. After a light snack and cocktail at the Tiki Bar in Islamorada we decided we should find a place to spend the night. A quick search brought up many possibilities. We chose Lime Tree Bay because it looked quaint and quintessential Florida keys. We arrived to find an absolute gem. Clean, updated rooms with the most unbelievable views of the water set in a picture perfect backdrop of sand and water and a gorgeous new easy entry pool with palm trees swaying over the sand everywhere. The staff was incredibly nice and the other bloggers were fun and friendly. Parking is FREE!!!!! There’s a fantastic restaurant/bar right onsite. Shout out to Florida Boy Bar & Grille!!! Great food and drinks. I cannot wait to come back for a week!"

"Pines and Palms is a beautiful small resort that has been newly renovated. We stayed in the Queen cottage (#8) that is ADA compliant though we did not need these accommodations. There space is very clean, minimalistic and has everything you need. The kitchenette has a full size refrigerator. They provide coffee pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels and dishwasher soap. The property is small but beautifully maintained. We never had to jockey for a seat by the pool or in the lounges on the waterfront. We were there 4 days and the pool bar was not always open. We never had entertainment by the pool. If you are looking for a party place, this is not it. The staff is amazing. They are friendly. They are very helpful. If you are looking for a quiet place to recharge this is for you. BTW they charge a daily resort fee when you get there. "

"The property is very nice, in fact gorgeous! The amenities were convenient. Had a number of meals at Calusa, and the food was exceptional, even if a bit pricey. The service there was very good! Of note is the hostess Melanie, also, waiter Lathish. can't remember names of others. (Marvin at the pool bar was fun.) Only had one meal taco tues at Dry Rocks. It was just "ok" The staff throughout the facility were pleasant, and mostly very friendly and helpful. Regarding negatives. The biggest one was at check in. We had planned to arrive around 4 pm, but due to weather, and flight rerouting we did not pull in until 1 am the next morning. Obviously, we were exhausted. The young lady at the front desk seemed very disinterested, and preoccupied even though at that time there were no other customers. We kept having to ask her to repeat, or clarify things as she often turned her head away from us while she spoke. We asked if there were any weddings planned for the week as we wanted an quiet area. She said there were not. Turned out there were 3! Fortunately the weddings did not bother us at all, and we liked the location of the room. She did not offer to get anyone to help us with are bags which would have been nice.The "bell hops" we met a couple days later said she could have gotten security to help or someone. Only other negative was housekeeping always forgot to leave something, and had to be called. Still all in a very nice place and stay! "
