Visit the Universeum and enjoy its diversity of attractions and scientific displays. Feed a shark, stroke a manta ray or just admire colourful fish in the huge aquarium. Find out if you can beat a lie detector, see some of nature’s deadliest reptiles or walk the tightrope as you explore the interactive exhibits.
The Universeum is spread over seven floors. It was established in 2001. Interactive exhibits use the latest technologies to introduce visitors to scientific disciplines and the wonders of the natural world.
Explore Ocean World to encounter large sand tiger sharks, moray eels, giant rays and colourful tropical fish. From here, take a stroll through the humid Indoor Rainforest, where monkeys and sloths hang from the trees and colourful birds and butterflies fly free among the foliage.
Travel to an international space station in the Space Zone and try to solve typical astronaut problems, such as how to use the toilet and how to sleep in zero gravity.
See how police officers apply the latest scientific findings to solve cases in the Crime Lab. Put yourself to the test with a lie detector and try to spot forged banknotes.
If you are travelling with small children, head to Job Land. Whether they want to be firemen, veterinarians or truck drivers, they can have fun while trying out their dream jobs.
The museum has several food outlets, including a barbecue stand. Plan to eat onsite for lunch since your visit can easily fill an entire day.
The Universeum, located close to Liseberg Amusement Park, is open daily. Evening visits are possible in summer. Children under 17 get a discount and those under age three enter for free. Group discounts for families are available. To get there, go by tram or bus to Korsvägen or walk or drive from the city centre. You have to pay to park in the area around the Universeum.
