This place has a lot going for it. Set in the town, but with beautiful peaceful gardens away from the traffic where you also have a relaxing breakfast. The rooms are good and quite big, showing their age just a bit. Staff courteous and generally friendly. Wifi and TV a bit hit and miss, and they weren't able to get the safe combo changed while I was there. They also don't supply the stuff you get used to elsewhere - complimentary drinking water, tea and coffe making facilities, room slippers and amazingly no hand soap in the bathroom either. When I asked about this I was told to use soap from the shower dispenser. Well if you are a bit movement impaired that is difficult because the shower is above a bath and you have to lean over it and twist past a shower screen to get it.
So these shortcomings may seem trivial, in which case I highly recommend the place otherwise take note.
Overall a generally excellent place let down by lack of attention to detail.
