For the first time in 8 years of visiting Tunisia, the person at the reception smiled as I entered the hotel and was welcoming and hospitable. Not only that, but she had a woman bring a nice cool juice for me. That receptionist (the one that works days) was AWESOME. Unfortunately, it went all downhill after that. There is no working heat in the rooms. The Temperature outside is 8 C and the temperature inside was just as cold, if not colder. To make matters worse, there were no blankets. Spoke to the front desk about it, they offered nothing in the way of a fix, although they claimed to offer blankets, none ever came. Dinner was ok, although very expensive, and the seafood was not well cooked (almost raw - but not sushi raw, just rubbery can't eat kind of raw) - Breakfast was supposed to be ready at 7 AM according to the paper inside the room, but when I went down at 7 AM, I was told it would not be ready until 730 AM - so I will have to go back and check. The sad thing is that I am thinking about staying here another night, because as bad as this is, other hotels in Tunis are even worse.
