"Location was perfect, walked everywhere from Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach, Ferry Building, Caltrain and even to Fisherman’s Wharf. You need your key fob to enter hotel which made me feel safe. Staff were lovely and hotel was cute. It’s old so don’t expect posh and high tech. Breakfast was decent and enough to get you through to lunch. Bread, eggs, cereal, occasionally bacon and ham, coffee and tea. Elevator was old school. Loved it. I would stay again."

"Wish we could have stayed longer! Can’t beat the price and free parking with what seems to be a good security system. The bed was so comfortable. Shower was hot and good pressure. Spacious room which was not the nicest but very very decent, but you aren’t gonna stay here if you are looking for 5 star hotel. It’s definitely a 5 star motel! Awesome location too with so much within walking distance. "

"The staff were extraordinarily helpful and friendly. Our bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever had in a hotel. We enjoyed the outdoor courtyard as well as the inviting indoor seating areas. The hotel restaurant offers tasty breakfast options as well. As is the case with most hotels in the city the parking fees seem excessively high but the valet staff were expedient and helpful. Our car was returned to us in good condition. "

"My stay at the San Francisco Marriott Union Square was pleasant. The hotel's prime location near Union Square was perfect for exploring shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with great city views. The staff was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The only minor downside was that some areas felt slightly dated. A strike was going on, and this detracted from the experience, but I don't fault the property for this. I recommend this hotel; it is great for business...
