Things to do in Phuoc Hai Fishing Village

Stretching east from the sleepy village, Long Hai Beach is a stretch of pristine sand and is considered by many to be one of Vietnam’s finest beaches.

Lie back and relax on Back Beach, considered by many to be Vung Tau’s most beautiful long stretch of sand. Swim in the warm waters and learn to ride the waves with a kite surfing or windsurfing lesson.

View the Dinh Co Temple’s fine carvings and attractive altars and stroll through the gardens to enjoy great views back across the beaches of Long Hai. Learn the tragic story of the girl to whom the temple is dedicated and join in the colorful celebrations as the local fishermen pray for good fortune at sea.

You can enjoy views of Vung Tau’s iconic Statue of Christ from all over the city, but none match the view from close quarters. Hike up the picturesque Mount Nho and gaze up at the foot of the giant statue. Then climb inside for breathtaking views back across the city and coastline.

Admire the carved roof of Linh Son Co Tu with its golden Buddha statues. Relax in the tranquil lotus garden hidden at the back of the pagoda and explore the interior to see impressive religious paintings and statues.
