It's central to most of what you need to see and do in Bagan. Plenty of places to eat a short walk to the end of the road. Recommended."

"Great new hotel however on the outskirts of town however they rent mopeds to get in to town. There is a lovely swimming pool on site. Felt like ghost town as we appeared to be the only guests, but hey service was great."

"1 year old hotel but very clean and fresh. Manager was very friendly and helpful. You can rent e scooter for 8000kyat a day, which is really nice because all the pagodas are quite spreed out. Breakfast was simple but nice. Very good all around for the price."

"The restaurant manager is amazing and the chef a most incredible person. I’m vegetarian and he made me the most delicious meals even adapting local cuisine just for me. However the admin is a nightmare, so unorganised and inflexible. Incredibly difficult to get information and our bill was a total mish mash of wrong charges and also left out charges. The gardens are lovely and place is quiet."

"Saw Nyein San Guesthouse is a place that I would highly recommend staying at due to the convenient location and hospitality of the owner. I stayed 2 nights here and the double bedroom was spacious. Air conditioning worked well, and so did the Wi-Fi. The toilet also had a bath tub and hot water was available. When I arrived at 6am by bus, I was able to check in immediately and get a good rest. "We had a great stay here. I’m normally not one to take the time to leave reviews, but I have never stayed somewhere with such a genuinely friendly, accommodating staff. Hotel was also very clean and comfortable, easy E-bike ride to Old Bagan (which you can rent from the hotel for a reasonable price). We would definitely stay here again."

"Hotel was lovely, very clean and good service. The pool was great and was the reason we booked here. Breakfast options were a selection of western and Asian choices. The location is a bit out of the way but we hired a driver for a reasonable cost. He ended up saving us money as he was able to negotiate "local prices" on everything from t-shirts to beer."

"The property has potential but is quite outdated and is extremely cold during the night."

"The property is dated, the grounds are well kept and the pool is inviting but very very cold. I was the only guest in the hotel. I booked online with no issue but when I checked in the owner insisted on cash only. I had the cash but not what I was expecting. There was not hot water to shower with. The bed is very old and uncomfortable you can feel every spring in the mattress. I would not recommend this hotel. "

"People were great!!! They made us feel at home and even brought a band to play some nice Christmas songs for all the guests. I must mention however that there is no electricity during the day. Thank you all for your kindness. "

However, upon arriving at this hotel we were informed of several lies Expedia told us: 1) The hotel does not allow foreign guests 2) The hotel has not accepted third party reservations for over two years. All bookings are made directly to the hotel. 3) No one from Expedia or any other third party contacted them to confirm my reservation or resolve the problem I was dealt by expedia's lies. "

"The manager was very attentive and accommodating. Helped arrange transport, and gave us a discount rate on a room for early check in when we arrived several hours before the time we originally planned. The rooftop restaurant doesn’t look exactly like the photo, but there is a view of the temples in the distance. There was a wide variety of food, both local and international food options. Everything we tried was tasty. Reception arranged a tuk tuk driver to take us to some of the temples and watch the sunset. Pool is comfortable and cleaned regularly. "
