New Year’s in Brazil
"We had originally booked a hotel in Argentina with Hotels.com which we found out was closed when we arrived at the abandoned hotel. 😡. So, we scrambled to find a hotel for New Year’s Eve. When we arrived at the hotel, they upgraded our room. The breakfast was fantastic which included fresh seasonal fruits. The hotel was located across the street from a mall. The mall had the best food court I’ve ever been to and the prices were 1/3 of the food in Argentina. The mall also had a huge grocery store. The pool area was lovely. The restaurant in the hotel was great and not overly expensive. The hotel had a New Year’s Eve party but unfortunately due to our late booking, no tickets were available. But the hotel directed us to the downtown area which was about a mile from the hotel which had some amazing steak houses which again were a fraction of the meals in Argentina. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our out of business hotel in Argentina was a blessing in disguise because we would never had stayed here. It was my favorite hotel out of the five hotels we stayed in during our two week visit. Crossing the border can be a little time consuming but we had no issues. This would be my first choice on my next visit."
