"Lovely people and charming place. Could help self to vegetables in the garden or even the eggs from the chickens for breakfast which was a hit with the kids. Only drawback was that it was a bit of a squash, we should have booked a third room. The rooms are called “two bedroom” but they are actually one bedroom suites with a single sofa bed in the living room so not really suitable for three adults. "Great weekend in the old farmhouse (built in 1760). Quiet and relaxing with everything you need - just bring food, the rest is there. House was spotless and stocked with everything you need from crockery and cutlery to pots and pans, firewood, braai grid, fire lighters and even matches. TV with full DSTV channels was a bonus to watch the rugby. It has 2 separate bedrooms each with a bathroom and can sleep 9 people. Highly recommended. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. Especially our Toy Poodle and Yorkie. They could roam around freely, because the premises is safe and dog-proof. We enjoyed the goodies supplied and the owners are very friendly. The cottage is nice and big and we especially enjoyed the Netflix. Only negatives, here and there things that were not completely clean, like drawers and over gloves, etc but nothing that a thorough clean can't fix. Overall the place was clean enough. We will definitely go again."

Wonderful one-night stay

"Our luxury room ( with mountain view) was absolutely charming, spacious and super clean. The room was newly renovated, tastefully furnished and thoughtfully outfitted with everything that could be required. The mountain view from the expansive windows and patio door was stunning and the outdoor seating area on the balcony looking at the same view was a definite plus. The only downsides were a slightly firm mattress and a bit of road noise. Otherwise it was a nearly perfect stay."

"A great stop-off on the way to the Garden Route from Cape Town. Simple, clean rooms with all required facilities. One of the best restaurants, (maybe the best) of our trip around South Africa. Be sure to book a table at the restaurant when you book your room as the restaurant gets full. "

Family fun

"We had the best time at Kambati as a family we had a gorgeous view from our tent that was very clean it was our first time trying the glamping style and our experience was amazing! The kids enjoyed every minute we played thhe mini golf and the kids swam in the pools with slides and had ice cream cones at the pool the staff is so friendly and the cute animals too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back! Thank you Kambati for your friendly hospitality "
