"Very nice, clean accomodation, and comes with everything you need. The western breakfast were also very good. The only improvements that we can recommend is paving the road in front of the villa as it can be a bit difficult to drive in with a small sedan. "

"The house itself is beautiful but all around it is extremely badly taking care of. The yard is a mess, the grass high, and just next to some run down green houses. Some kind of a huge computer was making a terrible noise when we arrived, the owner allow us to turned it off thankfully. Could be a wonderful place to stay "

They also offered public a onsen for hotel guests and you can also book that to have that one private. Over all can't recommend this hotel enough, staff was friendly and breakfast was excellent if you want a taste of a traditional Japanese meal. "We spent two nights at this hotel in a Japanese style room. We found the room comfortable and spacious. I very much enjoyed the public bath in the hotel and visited AM and PM for a relaxing soak. The hotel is a quirky mix of modern and traditional and we appreciated this.We had a wonderful breakfast buffet each morning in the hotel restaurant and the staff was always gelpful and kind. We found everything very walkable to this hotel. The station, castle, art museum, shopping, restaurants and coffee/tea/sweets are not far. We would definitely stay here again and we really loved the vibe of Motsumoto!"

Bike trip all around the lake is maybe around 4 hours or less. 10/10 Swore I saw a Shrine Maiden with green hair walking around."

"Absolutely amazing experience. The room had a Onsen bath on the balcony overlooking the lake. The service included dinner and breakfast in a private room with amazing local food and a lovely waitress who spoke decent English and explained every dish to us. There is also a lovely open rooftop Onsen. The room is large and very comfortable like an apartment. All of the staff were amazing. Fantastic "
