"We arrived with staff waiting and carried our luggage to our room. Was directed where breakfast would be and if we needed any help at any time to book Tours. During our stay our room was cleaned daily. Staff greeted us each time they saw us. It was a lovely stay. Would recommend and visit again. "

"I couldn’t fault The hotel Amira, rooms were nice and lovely and clean but the stand out for me was the staff they were so friendly welcoming and helpful and it made it a pleasure to stay. If ever I went back to Istanbul I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. "

"The GLK is a nice facility, and the staff is wonderful, from the desk agents to the cleaning staff. It is a narrow and tall building, and the stairs are really steep, so you will probably take the lift. The breakfast buffet is very good, and includes a samovar with genuine Turkish Rize tea. The rooms and interior look a bit worn, so I won't give my review a 5 ✬ rating, but 4 1/2 ✬ would be correct. Note: it is a 10 minute walk to the Sultanahmet tram station. "The hotel is very lively, it unfolds over one whole street in different buildings in the heart of the historic quarter, adjacent to Hagya Sofia and a short walk from the basilica Cistern, the blue mosque, the Topkapi Palace and pretty much close to what a first time tourist wants to see. Staff is friendly and personable, rooms spacious, clean and lovely, in short a great venue for the first time in Istanbul."

"Location was excellent! Walking diatance to all main attraction. The service was superb! Our room was ready much earlier thank check in, around 8am. The front desk arranged the airport transfer, called for taxi, gave us a tram card to use, and were very helpful with every one of our requests. The rooms are relatively spacious, great cleaning crew! The bonus is conplimenrary bottles of water... great 9 day stay!"

"The Staff was amazing. Every morning the manager (Samir) would greet us, ask what our plans were and offer helpful advice. (reminding us the Grande Bazar was closed on Sundays, what time Friday prayers were if we planned to visit the Mosques) He also showed us a very unique display down the street that was no advertised and it was free. Samir and his staff made sure we got taxi's for our departure, confirmed pick up for one of our tours, and offered suggestions to us. Samir was so hospitable...

"Desde que llegamos, todos fueron súper amables, la verdad es que la ubicación está perfecta, no podríamos haber elegido mejor lugar. Fue el cumpleaños de mi mamá, y tuvieron unos detalles preciosos con ella, lo que hizo que nuestra experiencia fuera aún más especial. "Nice little hotel. 5 minute walk to the famous Taksim square and mile long shopping street. Hotel was nicer than I expected for the price. Bedrooms had fridges and newly renovated bathrooms. The value was good. The service at the front desk was fast and very friendly. The cleaning lady was superb. There are a couple of rough looking buildings right next to the hotel but it is safe. A tiny store with most items anyone could need on short notice is a few feet away, around the corner. I stayed in a double bed with my gf but I am 6’1 and it was a little small for me. Queen or king for sure next time. It is hard to beat the value I got. "

"The service was excellent and the room spacious and well-appointed. We received an upgrade to a partial sea view and the concierge was very efficient in recommending a number of options of sightseeing options for us to do. The hotel also gave us early check-in as opposed to having us wait until the official check-in time. That act of kindness alone was stellar."

"I recently stayed at the Intercontinental Taksim, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful, making our stay smooth and pleasant. A special shoutout to Alican and Ahmed, who went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. The location of the hotel is another highlight. Being within walking distance of Istiklal Caddesi made it easy to explore the heart of Istanbul, with its lively shops, restaurants, and attractions just a short stroll away. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. Every corner of the property was well-maintained, and our room was spotless throughout our stay. Breakfast was another standout feature. The variety and quality of the food were impressive, catering to different tastes with fresh, flavorful options. The staff in the breakfast area were exceptionally trained—friendly, attentive, and professional, ensuring a great start to our day every morning. Overall, the Intercontinental Taksim offers excellent service, a prime location, and wonderful amenities. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Istanbul!"
