"I spent 3 nights in the Surf Room & I cannot recommend it highly enough. This guesthouse is a haven especially after sightseeing all day. "We first discovered this place in 2022 - and came back in 2024. Absolutely stunning (falling asleep looking at that amazing original ceiling is an incredible feeling!), beautiful Veronese details in the room design, great toiletries, wonderfully helpful staff, amazingly central location. The only thing I might recommend updating is the selection of breakfast snacks, as we've had better ones throughout Italy. But we'll definitely be back next time we're in Verona!!"

The only caution is that it is literally in Juliet’s courtyard… so map it out before you’d you will fight a crowd with your luggage getting in…. "This was by far the nicest place we stayed at in Italy. The apartment is clean, beautifully simplistic and functional, bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped and communicating with the staff was easy and enjoyable. "Spacious room, but very sparsely furnished, although functional. Beds were more like cots. Breakfast was good. Great location & within walking distance of R & J balcony (a big disappointment btw!) pouring rain & free parking area up the hill was muddy & filled with huge potholes. Residenza was on a one way street so best to drop your luggage off on the way up the hill to the parking area. Person who checked us in was nice & friendly, but spoke almost no English."

My new favorite Hotel!

"This hotel is amazing! The staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was great with hotter and good pressure. The adjustable LED lights in there were a cool feature! Location was wonderful for easy walks to the local historical sites and dining. Also just a short ride from the train station. "

"I had a lovely stay at the Mastino. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the area, a minute from Piazza Bra/ the Arena.
