Because the hotel is right next to the ocean the wind is very strong and it can get really loud. I had a hard time sleeping because it can be a little intense/ intimidating at first. "We had a fantastic 5 nights at Lawhill. The staff are friendly and very attentive to whatever you need whilst you are staying there. The apartment was spotless and really well furnished with everything we needed. It is very easily walkable with 5 mins directly to the V&A waterfront via the One and Only Hotel. I have only knocked off a star for Communication because they didn’t respond to any messages via Expedia but as soon as I emailed directly I received a reply within hours. Would definitely...

"The unit was well furnished and modern, the built-in stuff were great, but the pots, pans and fan wasn't so great. It was fully usable but it had broken handles etc. The management was also very strict, we asked for an additional set of keys and they were initially reluctant to provide one and after that quoted us first R1000, then R500 deposit. It just felt like it was overly strict, rigid and lacking a bit of that human touch which Jo'burg is famous for. Overall still a great place to stay...

The apartment was perfect and in a great location for experiencing everything the town has to offer- walking distance to the shops, restaurants, wine tram, and grocery store.
