"Wonderful welcome on arrival by the owner, Sue. The room is lovely and big with a large bathroom, it's spotlessly clean everywhere with beautiful decor. There is a little fridge in the room with milk for hot drinks, a nice touch. The breakfast each morning is superb with the best eggs we've ever tasted (from their own chickens). We have already booked for next year at the same time. Highly recommended."

"A very good visit. The hotel has adapted extremely well to the new Covid 19 rules. The buffet breakfast that used to be served is not permitted, but the replacement table service breakfast was outstanding. Thoroughly recommended. "

"Always have an amazing stay at Southern Cross Guest House. You’re always made to feel very welcome and the rooms are so comfortable and there’s everything you need. Breakfast is absolutely delicious too. Such is in a great location for Sidmouth and its idyllic boutique shops and the wonderful donkey sanctuary too. "

"Warm and comfortable for a winter break. Plenty of room. Needed some minor repairs which we passed on. Ideally situated for Sidmouth and other nearby coastal towns. Overall very pleasant. "
