"Just a quick trip to Portland for an appointment. This is an interesting place with a lot of history to it. I always feel like I need to dust at McMenamins since there decor is so dim. The property is well maintained and I’m sorry I’ll miss the gardens in bloom. However I would not stay here in the spring or summer because of the traffic noise. Really really loud. The spa is lovely, make sure to make reservations in advance. Food is the same as every other McMenamins. "

"We arrived on Monday and Anil at the front dest was helpful even though my card kept giving him problems. Once checked in we noticed a smokers smell in our room. Anil offered to put us in a better room, but we said we just wanted him aware so we weren't charged for someone elses choices. When we checked out Shawn was extremely helpful after our night was interupted by a noisy neighbor and offered a discount on our next visit. "Usually the staff is nice but was treated to rudeness when checking in. The rooms are usually in good shape but this on had broken curtains, a loose toilet seat and the bathroom door got stuck trapping my wife in the bathroom. Some work needs to be done to get back to the old quality."

"Good location for PDX airport n dining , and breakfast was good . Just lil bit unfortunate for us the room temperature didn't work , and while we were about to checking in , there's nobody at front desk , we were waiting almost 20 minutes outside door, till other guest came and open the door for us, thats bummer! All in all good place to quick stay around the pdx airport."
