"Gorgeous building, lovely wine, a great breakfast and really friendly hosts. However, if you're doing the Camino, it's a beautiful place to stay but Google will not help if you're walking. Ask the owners for directions, or take a cab - it will save you trying to find waterside paths that don't exist and getting lost in the woods!"

"We were a little worried when we were looking for the hotel because the surrounding buildings in the town are a little run down but the hotel was excellent. Very nice inside, clean, extremely friendly staff, and a nice cafe for breakfast."

"The night time front staff were excellent. The bar/restaurant was delicious and girls did a wonderful job, threated us like royalty. Paula. The girl that’s in the lobby to help with reservations, etc. was incredible. Took such good care of us I wanted her to home with us. Wonderful hotel, wonderful people, wonderful experience. "This place is a combination of a hostel and a hotel. Can’t rate the hostel even though I am sure that it is good. But the hotel - two penthouse suites - is a marvelous place. It is immaculately clean, has all the necessary amenities and more, the owner is obliging and nice. A five star service for very little money. Highly recommended. "

A great little hotel on the beach, with pool.

"What a gem of a hotel! Excellent location, right on the beach. Lovely sea views from the room. Excellent breakfast, although coffee machine not great, yet there is a decent barista coffee machine in the bar. It was low season when we were there in mid-May, so only a few guests. Loads of sun loungers by the pool and the hotel does not tolerate the classic German habit of “bagging” sun loungers. Food at dinner was OK, nothing special, but there is a 3-course menu at €24, which is OK. If you want to go out to eat, it’s either a bit of a walk (15-20mins) or a car ride for greater choice. Good choices in Combarro: start with La Tinta Negra, which has a good varied selection but well known for their rice dishes. "
