"I have been coming to San Pedro for 15 years. I usually stay up north but because of flight delays I decided to stay in town. Hotel Del Rio was a great option. If you are wanting the modern resort experience this isn’t it. But if simple clean comfortable rooms and great staff is your things then this is the place for you. "

"This is a very clean and nice property. I came to San Pedro for diving. It was very close to my dive center, about 600 meters away. I had to be at center by 6.30 and 5.30."

"We enjoyed our ocean view and ocean front rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient to town and snorkeling excursions. No golf cart needed unless you have mobility issues. Hotel arranged a golf cart to be brought to the hotel which we booked for one day to go to secret beach for about $50 usd. Some construction nearby and pool a bit cool for swimming. Water off the beach is warmer about 80 degrees and you can swim off nearby dock at the Palapa bar. Overall all a very enjoyable stay. "

"If I could give them 10 stars I would. The customer service was EXCELLENT! Brittany checked me in and was extremely courteous and kind. The entire staff during my stay was nice. The rooms were clean and quiet. I stayed in the Luxury suite and the Deluxe Studio King. I can’t wait to return. The location was perfect."

"Very nice hospital people! I got rather sick during my stay. They took good care of me. Was genuinely concerned about how I was doing. They don’t just walk by and act like they don’t see you. They always look,wave,and check on you. Nice and friendly."

"We stayed in a basic room, although they have larger rooms, ours worked out perfectly. The bathroom with toilet and sink was small and the shower was inside the room (separated by a shower curtain). That was a first for us, it was pretty funny to have that but the room totally worked for us. It was clean, maintained and room service every day. "Had a great stay. My suite was clean, a/c worked and fridge was needed. Staff was kind and helpful, got towels as needed. Location was great as I could simply walk either direction down the beach for a morning run. Restaurants near by were good and I was happy to watch NFL games. The pool was at my door and was quiet, which was great for relaxing with a book. Mosquitoes are deadly however, so pack bug spray!"

"This is a great resort to stay at. We traveled with our 4 year old who enjoyed the expansive pool. There is not much beach but you can walk or run almost into San Pedro on it (about 2 miles). If you are going to Belize to dive or other tours keep in mind most of them leave from San Pedro. You will need to arrange transport from the hotel, either calling for a taxi or renting a golf cart. Driving the golf carts around Ambergis Caye is a bit of experience, but not too bad as there aren't a ton of other cars. There are several really good restaurants within 0.5 mile walk from the resort. There is also a small convenience store with produce. "

"the property was clean, the bathrooms functioning and the sheets clean. The kitchen was clean but did not have a stove, there was a microwave and a coffee machine. I had to buy my coffee, sugar etc. The beach area needed a little attention, but not usable. We had to go to the Palapa bar and grill for a swim, drinks and food. Eating out gets very expensive, my advise is to go nearby on the street and find a good local hole in the wall and eat very good cooked meals cheaply. We ate regularly at Yoli's Deli, I highly recommend it. "
