"Good over night stay at this hotel. Would have given the hotel a 5* review but the rooms were so hot and there was a plastic mattress protector under the sheets, which was uncomfortable and sweaty. We enjoyed the bar, the restaurant, the staff, the clean rooms and the parking. Location is good too - we just couldn't sleep! No option to open our window etiher as we were right by the A/C unit which was very noisy. Would stay here again but remove the the plastic under-sheet first!"

"Booked this as a stopover on the way back to UK from Italy and boy did we fall lucky. We stayed in a lodge in the grounds and it was comfortable, clean and larger than we expected. However the highlight of our trip was the main building where there is a lovely bar with great staff and the outstanding restaurant. "Everything was perfect! David was a very welcoming host, even though we arrived after 9pm. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and spacious and very clean with bottled water and amenities. David laid on the nicest breakfast of warm croissants, warm bread, cheeses, jams, yoghurt and honey, and also supplied is plenty of milk and cocoa for hot chocolate. The cats and dogs at the property are adorable and all in all, it was a very relaxed overnight stay. Merci, David et Cecile."

"It’s a cheap 2/3 star hotel which at £40 for a double room and breakfast is a bargain. It’s not in the greatest condition but if you’re expecting more then you should be expecting to pay more. Perfect for an overnight stay before the shuttle or ferries. "
