"This is a very basic apartment and has a very odd damp/mouldy/unaired smell on entering & a little dusty but it was fine & had everything you could need for a short break including an iron & board, hairdryer and kitchen equipment including a coffee maker, toaster & microwave. "This is a charming converted chateau. close to Saint-Omer and the A26, and not far from Calais and the Channel Tunnel. The property is in a very quiet rural location, with ample parking. Staff were most helpful and the rooms have character. The restaurant is not open on Sundays but delicious snacks are available from the bar. Recommended"

"Everything was perfect! David was a very welcoming host, even though we arrived after 9pm. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and spacious and very clean with bottled water and amenities. David laid on the nicest breakfast of warm croissants, warm bread, cheeses, jams, yoghurt and honey, and also supplied is plenty of milk and cocoa for hot chocolate. The cats and dogs at the property are adorable and all in all, it was a very relaxed overnight stay. Merci, David et Cecile."

For example, there was a beautiful marble setting but the heating was not on and there was no clear way of controlling the temperature in the room which was in a cold downstairs location.
