Communication with the host was excellent—he went above and beyond by arranging for his dad to check me in at 1 PM, an hour earlier than the standard check-in time. The cabin itself was cozy and well-maintained, and the view was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!"

"Absolutely beautiful property in a totally private and stunning location - the photos do not do this place justice!!! Our host was so welcoming and generous, with the remote location he suggested great takeaway deliveries and we had delicious pizzas ordered to our door, however there is also a local town within driving distance to eat out. "This was our first night in Costa Rica. We picked to stay here to split the drive to la fortuna and to be able to stop at Rio Celeste. It’s close to Rio Celeste. The town itself seems abanded. The owner of this property is very sweet. The area is loud, close to the road and constantly hearing traffic. The cabin type room has a large portable fan which was great. Shower works well. Good stay for 1 night. "

"This location is a bird watching, listening, paradise. The cabins are surrounded by lush vegetation and trees. The owner Cede is very friendly and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious and reasonably priced. We stayed here Friday Nov. 8, 2024 and were the only guest due to the rainy season. "The property was beautiful! We saw more birds on the property than we did at the nearby natiknal park. The food from the restaurant was excellent! A true highlight of our trip. The rooms were very clean and so was the entire property and the staff was very nice and helpful. Only negative of the property is a lack of heating/cooling in the rooms. "The views look in person just as they do on the website. The pool and hot tub were clean. The villas are individual cabins, which are roomy but not too much. Breakfast included for free & there is a restaurant/bar open the entire day. It’s a 40 minute drive from La Fortuna but we did not mind the commute. In exchange you get really nice and quiet surroundings. Would recommend for family getaways!"

"We stayed in Villa #1 which is a 2 bedroom suite. It is perfect. The weather was not so great for the two days we stayed, but we still enjoyed the place very well because of the beauty of the villa and the surroundings. We saw a lot of birds, a big family of peccaries, and two coatis. We went to Mistico park early in the morning before the tourist traffic picked up. It was so peaceful. I highly recommend the horse riding tour as well which is right by the park. The location of the lodge makes it so convenient to enjoy the best out of the mountain."

"Amazing stay at Lost Iguana. Everyone working there was so kind and accommodating. Beautiful resort with lush greenery. Transfers via golf cart throughout resort available if raining (or just don’t feel like walking up/downhill). The room was beautiful and clean. Would stay again!"

Overnight stay, hiked Rio Celeste!

"Super friendly receptionist and very helpful! We stayed here so that we could be close to Tenorio Volcano National Park. The motel was clean and met basic needs. The attached restaurant was good and offered typical Costa Rican fare. We were not able to take advantage of the tours offered by at the motel but tubing looked like it would be fun."

"The jungle trail on the property was great. We saw a lot of wildlife and plants. The food at the lodge was very good and breakfast included was delicious. We stayed in the Chalet and had amazing views. Overall the property was great but highly recommend checking in during the day due to the 2km drive off the main road to the property. "
