"The hotel is beautiful, inside and out. The building itself dates back to 1913. It is in a decent area, within 6-7 minutes walking distance to 2 trams that will get you to the main train station where you can transfer to other trams to get you around Amsterdam. We did not try the restaurant or bar, they just weren't our style. We stayed in a canal-facing room on the 1st floor (floor 0 is street level) and the view was lovely.
