"We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. "Quinta da Barroca is an excellent place for a relaxed family time in Douro or for an event. It lacks some maintenance or improvement in some things (such as the children's park and the sauna/jacuzzi), but the houses and the scenery are great. Breakfast could have some more variety, but it's good enough, the fruit is excellent, apples right from the tree "
