"If you like closeness to nature, this the place for you. Squirrels, birds and monkeys visited our balcony during our stay. The glass walled villa offers amazing view of the forest in all four directions but if you prefer privacy, draw the curtains, which we didn't have to use. Given the location, expect some ants, mostly in the bathtub but they don't bite or bother us. The adorable resident dogs do bark intermittently at night so bring ear plugs if necessary. "Absolutely fantastic stay at Ambong Pool Villas. My wife and I visited for our honeymoon and stayed in the Kemoja villa. It was absolutely exceptional and the staff made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived. Cannot fault anything during our stay. "The villas at Lavanya are beautiful and very well maintained. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment with pool. The apartment was quite spacious elegantly built and furnished, with full kitchen and washer dryer. The service was awesome! The only issue I had was that the master bathroom had no door and the toilet in it had glass doors. And that was a major inconvenience for us. Except that, I liked everything about this place!"

"Great villa with three en-suites in a great location near Pantai Chenang beach, shops and restaurants. Complimentary drinks and pot noodles provided in the villa which was a nice touch. There is a private small pool, with towels provided. Perfect for families."

"I am rating this three star only because the hotel staff worked really hard to remedy all the problems we faced other wise this would have been one star. We had reserved a three bedroom apartment for two nights, but everything went wrong from the start, from a non working parking gate key to a broken AC in one of the bedroom. "Very nice resort in Langkawi. Eventough there were lots of people at the breakfast, there were always free sun beds by the pool. Especially by the rock pool. We saw 2 types of monkeys during our 4 days stay and they really steal peoples food from balconies."

Loved this island

"We read all the reviews of this hotel before booking and weren’t expecting 5star luxury but the hotel seemed good value and located where we wanted to be. The moment we stepped off the boat onto the island we knew we had made a great choice. All the staff were friendly, relaxed and made you very welcome. They seemed happy doing their jobs. The island is a paradise for wildlife.Everywhere is walkable and you never know what bird it animal you will find round the next corner…..and the monkeys! There is also an aviary hidden away with budgerigars and peacocks who look forward to 10am & 4pm feedings which you are invited to join. Yes , the buildings are a little tired but clean and comfortable and if you want to pay 4 times the price there are plenty of other 5star hotels but I doubt we would have enjoyed it half as much as we did! "

Ambience can be invasive at times!

"The music in the hallways are too loud. We had to request for it to be turned down twice - once outside our room and the other outside the business center. While ambience is important it should not invade rooms. However, housekeeping responded immediately each time in keeping with their overall excellence in response to guest needs."
