"Hotel is a short walk from the train station & within the wall. Staff was amazing! So personable & helpful! Bathrobe & slippers were a plus. Room was incredibly clean & comfortable. "Beware - I booked through Expedia but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. "The location of this property is amazing, although a little difficult to find if you're using Google Maps. As its on the opposite side and end of the lane than shown. My host for the stay, Franca, has been lovely and offered some great suggestions of things to see/do on arrival. The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated, however I found the bedding and pillows particularly uncomfortable. Also, the rooms are not soundproof at all, which is understandable given the age of the building....

"Beautiful refurbished older mansion turned into a charming B&B. The on site secure parking was a big plus. The entire team attending to guests was extremely helpful and friendly. "Couldn’t have been better. It was such an amazing building in a wonderful central location. The communal lounge was traditionally decorated and so relaxing. The room was large and relaxing with top quality furnishings, super large comfy bed. Bathroom was great with a nice strong shower. Our host was enthusiastic, friendly and very helpful. We took his advice and went to the Puccini theatre performance and museum. We hope to visit again. Lucca is fabulous and not to be missed."

"A fabulous place to stay with a fabulous staff a beautiful view of breakfast second to none. Just an amazing experience. If you’re traveling to Sienna you need to stay here. Don’t even look anywhere else. Just stay here. It’s the nicest place around. The property is gorgeous. The rooms are amazing Fabulous place. "Albergo Celide is a lovely place to spend your Lucca vacation. It's comfortable and quite with wonderful breakfast and nice spa. It's moments away by foot from the entrance to the walled city. "This is a beautiful, wonderful hotel. We stayed in the green room with our two kids. The entire hotel smells amazing and is extremely clean. The beds were by far the most comfortable we had on our weeklong trip to Italy and the decor and setup is perfect. I highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed. "

"Very spacious apartment could not have been more central to all the sights and brilliant, varied dining options. Rachel, who checked us in, went well beyond her remit. She sorted out a digital interactive map of Lucca for us, tea bags, suggestions for dining from breakfast, ice creams, value suppers to high end. And she organised our taxi at thr end. We had the benefit of a fridge and brought yoghurt and fruit back, only to realise no bowls or cutlery are provided so Rachel brought us some of her own! Would suggest a minimal selection of plates and cutlery would be a bonus. All in all a fabulous 2 nights. 3 days and we didnt want to leave! "
