"Fantastic room (5th floor, 2 rooms on that floor) which is quite large, separate bedroom, living areas, and bathroom which has views, balcony views of Mt Fuji, beach, and Enoshima. "This property is actually exceptional for the current price, its much different then hotel stays in the US. The rooms are smaller but probably normal for the area where space is a premium. The only difficulty that I had is that Google brings you from the train to the property next store that is also labeled as Grand Kanachu but it is closed for renovation. "The property was very clean, compared to other hotels that we’ve rented in Japan. I thought this was a little bit pricey. They also do not have any dining on the property. You must go off to find something to eat. They have a coffee shop, but it does not open until 10 AM in the morning 11 AM check out time "

"We had a very brief stay and it was clean, comfortable and as described on the website. Very happy. About 8-10 min walk from train station, beautiful walk over the footbridge. Only issue is lack of restaurants after 19:00 and we never received our code to check in to the room-luckily staff was onsite to quickly assist!"

"This property surprised me as I’d been stuck in Hakone due to the typhoon so dediced to move to odawara station so I was closer to the action - and easier to leave the area when I could. I stayed for one night - it is a little confusing to get to the hotel, but follow the instructions to the letter and you will get there. "Coming to Gora Hanougi was a highlight of our visit to Japan. We had a room with a private onsen overlooking a forested mountain valley. Tranquil and restorative. The traditional dinner and breakfast were exceptional and served with attention to detail and grace. Though Fuji San was shrouded in clouds during our visit, I would recommend Gora Hanoungi to travelers to Hakone looking to experience a traditional Japanese Inn (included futons)"

"This hotel was excellent - fantastic and helpful service, very clean both in the rooms and in the common areas, great food, serene atmosphere, and generously sized rooms. Our room had a balcony with a private onsen, which was absolutely worth the splurge. The view was beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfy the futons were when we slept. The location was convenient to the bus lines but still so peaceful and quiet. 10/10 stars, without hesitation. I would love to come back!"
