Within walking distance of Docas (markets water trips and eating) but out of the main city. We were told to take extreme care if out walking at night. Breakfast finished at 9. The first morning we arrived at 8.45 and all the hot food had gone but scrambled egg eventually turned up. Arrived at 8 the next morning and cooked food arrived at 8.45 and this was a Monday. The...

"Great stay, comfortable, the staff is friendly and professional. The food at the hotel was better than I expected, so I ended up having dinner both nights. The location is great, a nice walk to some local attractions, like the Theatro da Paz, Estação das Docas, etc"

"Left after 1 night, shooting outside front door, prostitutes working the streets outside. In the roughest part of city. Not at all safe for my 6 yr old daughter and I to stay.even the locals don't frequent that area.cost me an extra £ 450 to switch hotels for 8 days. You should remove it from your books and would like to know if I am entitled to any refund? I visit my family regularly in Belem so know what to expect of the city."
