We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott. We stayed in the Executive Suite with our two grandsons & it was very spacious for them to play. The 2ft to 3 ft swimming pool was perfect for them to swim & play in. The Marriott is in a good location. We walked to the Aquarium of the Americas. The staff at the front desk were friendly & helpful as well as the bellmen & parking attendants.
My only complaint I have about is the Marriott 55 restaurant. My husband, my two grandson, my 2 year old grandson was in his stroller, & I walked into the restaurant and waited a while to be acknowledged by someone. Restaurant staff passed us by without acknowledging us. I had to go to the front desk to ask them if the we seat ourselves or what. We was told to sit anywhere. After waiting almost 10 minutes without being acknowledged my husband got up & asked a female server that was talking to customers at another table who our server was and she said she was. Needless to say after waiting another 10 minutes without being acknowledged or even getting a glass or water at our table we left the restaurant. I had 2 restless, hungry kids to take care of. We walked to the Creole House Restaurant which was very crowded with a 40 minute wait. I got food to go & we had to eat in the room. My husband is a Marriott Bonnvoy Member & stays a Marriott Hotels when he travels for business. What we experienced in this restaurant was very disappointing & is not what we expected from the Marriot Hote
