"This is my 3rd or 4th stay at Palmer House. It is now one of my most favorite places to stay. Its always been clean. The staff are extremely friendly. I love the "feel" when you come into the lobby. Its historical. It FEELS grand when you walk in. But its not pretentious. It feels like you have stepped into a special piece of history. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to experience Chicago and its history, who wants something special and unique. Look at the pictures.on the wall, The ceilings etc. The Lakewood is also.an amazing place.to.eat. "

"Good location; still a bit of a walk to the El or Metra but lots of restaurants and shopping close by. Enjoyed the manager's happy hour but breakfast on a weekend was a zoo! Lots of choices for a hotel breakfast buffet but so crowded even at opening time. We opted to eat around the corner at Eataly. "
