"We thorougly enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly and the facilities were super. We were very early in the season so many preparations and improvements were taking place, so we feel it would have been even better a little later into the month. We particularly enjoyed our meals in the restaurant. The beautiful beach was very quiet and the walk along the railway path, and on into the town and harbour was a joy. "

"1970s hostel type rooms with a nice pool, view, more modern lobby/bar area. Don’t recommend for families with babies. Rooms: horrible. So uncomfortable. Bedding is two hospital sheets. Beyond outdated. Rotting wood Frames on windows and balcony doors. Mold in shower and the bathroom smelled like pee. Dirty curtains, stained sheets. This is a one star. "I came in December, which is their low season, so I was basically one of the very few people staying at the hotel. The receptionist was only around for the check-in. The cleaning staff only showed up once. The rest of the time, they expect you to call if you need help, which is not realistic for foreign travellers, especially if you are not fluent in French or Italian. The building is locked, so basic safety is not an issue. However, when the internet went out, I had no way to contact anyone...
