"Let's be honest Rotorua stinks...a sulphur lake would do that, and you get used to it. The hotel is lovely. Most activities in town are for adrenaline junkies but I recommend the Polynesian spa and Te Pa Tu - you get to see kiwis! "

"Rydges is a lovely hotel. We were sorry that we only stayed for one night. Right in the heart of the geothermal area - we could see the steam from our room! As we arrived late evening decided to try the buffet at the hotel which turned out to be pretty amazing!! Would definitely recommend."

"We had 3 upgraded rooms and all very clean, tidy and modern. The pool was a hit for the kids so warm and the retractable roof for sunny days a winner. Breakfast buffet was replenished often. "
