"When we booked this was rated as 4-star. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and nice friendly owners, but 4-star it isn't. We were also lead to believe that it was in walking distance of various restaurants but there was nothing - the nearby hotel had a beach bar/restaurant but that closed for the season during our stay (in September?). Views over a building site! The photos on the Villa's website include several that are actually of the mentioned hotel, not Villa Nico and it's own facilities."

"Fabulous property. Exactly what we hoped for and so much more. The location is just perfect. Right on the beach and easy walking distance to everything Makarska has to offer. Accommodation is basic but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our hosts were so helpful and friendly. It felt like home from home. We had full use of the kitchen and our own fridge. "Owner was extremely friendly and would help us with any issues within minutes. The villa itself was stunning. Lots of open space, the en suite bathrooms were fully equipped, the pool was much larger than I was expecting and the beds were amazing to stunggle into. Around the villa there is loads to do. You can walk up the hill to get to the base of the mountain, wall down the hill for easy access to the beach/grocery store. To experience everything tho I would recommend getting a car as some...
