"a lovely property with the most amazing staff especially the manager Mr Peehann. Start with the property which was lovely, comfortable and clean with decent sized rooms. The hotel prepared a breakfast each morning with eggs but local pho was available. Additionally the coffee saffron was excellent. "Great heritage buildings in normally good location. Staff very good. But major works on the river are noisy and the traffic and noise around 530 am for monks alms is considerable. Rooms need facilities upgrading but tough in heritage site. We did enjoy the hotel and things of issue beyond their control mainly."

"Our host was one of the most accommodating that I have had anywhere in my travels. The property is absolutely spotless and the rooms are large with a very clean bathroom. The same host was able to book us transportation to the nearby waterfalls on very short notice. Our breakfast was amazing as well."

"My friend and I needed a place to stay for two days until our flight. This guesthouse was very comfortable with two twin beds, en suite, dresser, tv, fridge and ac to use as required. Price was very reasonable. Yard and hotel very picturesque , beautiful woodwork throughout. And very friendly and helpful people. I loved it and would come back . "

"Colonial style hotel with refreshing swimming pool, outdoor restaurant w good food & buffet breakfast. About a 10 minute walk to night market The staff are accommodating & helpful. The bar is nice and well stocked. The rooms have good water pressure and are clean . Overall a pleasant stay at Villa Malay but our room had limitations for electrical & soundproofing I’m sure not every room is the same as this is a popular hotel . Thank you to the staff for making it a nice stay. "

One of the best experiences we have had

"Our stay of 8 nights was amazing. One of the best hotels we have been in South East Asia. The rooms are well furnished and confortable. The staff is kind and pro active. Breakfasts are very good and the restaurant has a superb choice of excellent dishes - congratulations to the French chef Jérémie Muller for his good work. We also enjoyed very much the nice pool and spa. We shall return for sure. "
