"Golden Pearl er et flott hotell til en fornuftig pris. Flott uteområde rett på stranden med mange solsenger. Betjeningen er imøtekommende, men det oppsto her som mange andre steder i Sri Lanka en del kommunikasjonsproblemer grunnet dårlig engelsk forståelse. Fantastisk meny på kjøkkenet, men vi visste knapt at de hadde en før avreise, så informasjonen til gjestene burde vært bedre."

"We spent 3 days at this fabulous property. We loved the location - the sea was perfect for swimming and the pool was nice too. In front of the beach is a lovely lawned area with trees which is perfect for those of us who like a bit of shade. The rooms were large (we had a sea view room) and well equipped. You should be prepared to be self sufficient - the staff are inexperienced and shy so aren’t proactive in clearing tables or offering drinks - they prefer to hide inside. You have to ask...

"Conch villa is a special place, with only 2 rooms (it is actually a "just" a Villa - We got the upstairs room). The room we had was big and bright, good climate inside, and the staff (both day time and night time) was nice and helpful. There is minor room for improvements though - The bed frame made creaking noises on our every move, and there was no desk space to sit by with a laptop for example, even though the room would easily allow for a desk or a reading corner. "When I arrived they informed me they had no rooms available. They put me in a terrible hotel for one night and only when I complained did they put me in a reasonable one. I asked to talk to the manager four times but he always avoided me. Try a different place don’t waste your time here."
