"I had a lovely solo stay at Maria Rousse! It was clean and quiet at the hotel with only a few minutes walk to the Malia strip which leads to Malia beach! All the hotel staff were very pleasant and friendly! It was never any issue getting a sun lounger by the pool! The food at the bar was very tasty especially the Cretan breakfast which I ate most mornings! I also highly recommended the bars cocktails! "

"We wanted a one night stay in a quiet location but near the harbour. This apartment hotel was perfect for our needs. We were able to check in early which was a bonus and after we checked out they kindly looked after our luggage for 3 hours. The room had a good fridge and good kitchen amenities. The bathroom also had a bath with toiletries. The air conditioning was very good too. Reception were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money."

"Hospitality was poor by the owners, no greeting on arrival. The room was ok, house keeping was poor three days no clean or fresh towels. Ended up buying toiletries from supermarket and new towels. Breakfast was terrible, went out each day. The menu was limited allot of food was not available to order as they had no ingredients. The location of stay is perfect can walk to all amenities. Overall 4/10. "

"on arrival we were shown to a newly refurbished room where there was free bottles of water and wine by friendly members of the family. Ours was not a spacious studio but it had everything we needed and over our stay it was cleaned daily. The free buffet breakfast had plenty of variety and was served in the immaculate pool bar, a lovely start to the day. "Given its proximity to the beachfront one would expect the Kastro apartments to be a lot more expensive yet they remain cheaply priced and fairly well looked after. Much of the bar, restaurant and rooftop terrace are new and the friendly and helpful staff really make it a highly recommended from me. The finishing touch was giving me a place to safely store my valuables so I could go have fun before my flight 5 hours later then even offering me a shower despite having already checked out. "
