"This is a fine motel just a couple short blocks up from the main Kona town tourist strip. It is a solid 2.5 stars. Rooms are large with balconies. Bed was comfortable. Internet free and fast. Down sides: ac was a very noisy wall unit, no coffee maker in room. They did add $50 for parking and amenities. So bottom line higher than suggested on website."

"This place is a real gem! Private deck overlooking the sea where whales are jumping, the waves crash into the pool and the landscaping is breathtaking. the pool is warm the closet hid a bed and there were tvs in the master bedroom and the living/dining room area. the dishwasher was dirty inside and some of the plates were not cleaned well but the views and quiet and ease of access to downtown and sight seeing was worth a few seconds of dish scrubbing. What a pleasure to stay in such a nice place...

"Mostly very clean, except sliding glass doors. Would have cleaned myself but no cleaning materials on site. Wanted to love this place. We have stayed in other units but were delighted to find a first floor unit. The good: well equipped, comfortable, plenty of towels, and beach stuff. Nice patio area. The bad: communication was awful. Don't know if the problem is with the owner or RedAwning.
