"I felt compelled to write a review due to the conflicting emotions. The service from the staff - the ayi maid and the waiter/concierge - was absolutely first class. "Lovely stay. Only stayed here for one short night but wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful charming place in an old restored building. Nice area along the Yulong river. "This hotel is out of town and is very quiet. You can walk or ride a bike and a quiet road running by the hotel. The facilities are spacious, clean, and well-kept up. A shuttle is provided to get into town at any time. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. They booked tickets to the Impressions show and provided a ride to and from the event. I had a massage in my hotel room which the staff booked for me. And, the food! So good! It’s unusual because it isn’t Chinese food. We love Chinese food, but this restaurant has outstanding selections from all over the world. It was a nice change during our stay in China—pizza, chicken cordon bleu, a baguette sandwich, and even a hamburger and French fries. Try the fruit smoothies, too. Out of this world! You won’t be disappointed with your stay here. "
