The Lodge feels like a mountain lodge from the 40s or 50s that has been transported to modern times with all the modern amenities and comforts you’d expect from a modern upscale hotel. "This was our first trip to 1927 Lake Lure Hotel but not the last I hope. Staff was excellent and so helpful. The room was very clean. The whole property is so pretty and the antiques are a very nice touch in the lobby as well as on every landing. The only thing I would add is to have restaurant open we would have rather to have eaten there. Hope to come back with my best friends for a girl trip soon. "

"I like the location and the beautiful woods outside on the back balcony. However, the decor and furniture look like it came from a museum the 80s. Also, I was unlucky enough to be on the lower unit of the two and had very noisy neighbors, which is not too good with a wooden floor and also a connecting door that I had to put cushions up against deaden their noise. This is not the hotels fault I understand that, but beware if you get a unit that’s on the lower floor of the villas. "

"They are clearly taking advantage of Covid-19. Only 1 restaurant open. Not a full menu. No restaurants open for breakfast. No room cleaning service. No fresh towels. Even if I was to exchange the used towels. No garbage pick up. I was lead to believe that my room was walking distance to everything. It wasn't! It wasn't even on the main property. It was a good 5 minute drive & minimum half hour walk. The room was quaint. Way too many restrictions on everything. No sauna or steam...
