"Our room we booked was not available and they downgraded us to a cheaper smaller room. They comped us breakfast each day which honestly we do not like to eat breakfast and their breakfast is not worth the money. The hotel is in the best location for tourists. The location and how nice the staff is made our stay nice. Being downgraded like this should not happen, we had to agree to the downgrade because we already traveled from the USA. "

Slightly odd room layout and not quite enough space for things - not sure I have seen the coffee mugs placed next to the bathroom sink before but this was obviously because there was nowhere else for them. Great for a three night stay but would want a bit more room for a longer stay."

"Beautiful and historical property in the center of Barcelona. Lacking some amenities and level of service that we would expect from a 5 star hotel, particularly from the Relais & Chateaux group. Running out of hot water after 1 person showers (10 min) is unacceptable. 2 out of 5 days the “please make up our room” sign got “flipped” and the room was not cleaned. "3 of us stayed in a room here for a long weekend in Barcelona, and we couldn’t have hoped for a better place!! The location is just perfect, the street is quiet but bustling, and the room was great! Really good amount of space in the room, lovey balcony, and the bathroom was very modern and clean. Staff were all nice and very helpful too. Couldn’t recommend it enough!"
