But if you are just in Trieste overnight to catch a cruise you would be better staying in Trieste as this place is 20-30 minutes away from cruise port. Also the train drop off is a 20 minute walk down steep hill and stairs to get to hotel. There were no cabs in sight. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. A cab to terminal costs about 30 euros. " Beautiful hotel, all rooms are facing the coast. Swimming pool with warm sea water is excellent. Parking is little bit outside of the hotel and might not have enough space. Walking distance to both Portoroz and Piran. The only complaint is no air conditioning in October. It is still warm during the day. Open windows work at night. "
