"We only stayed for a quick night on our way out to other areas of Costa Rica. It is well located near restaurants and shops and the parking is easy. Our only complaint was the use of very strong cleaning supplies which are a challenge for people in our party who have allergies."

"Really good option, at walking distance to the city center. Staff is great and welcoming, and the place is a great place to start or finish (or both) a trip to Costa Rica. The place has a 'good-hostel-vibe', has an associated parking garage nearby (at a cost) and it is safe and quiet. Rooms are spacious and clean. Just be aware that restrooms are shared - which were not specified when we first made the reservation. "

"I stayed at Selina/Socialtel San Jose for about a week until the 28th of January 2025 and my Spirit Animal for the stay was a Sloth because I did mostly nothing in the morning, then took a rest in the afternoon. "Unique, rustic hotel. Hostess was very friendly and helpful. Walkable distance from everything I wanted to experience. I would definitely go again. My only advice is to give door handle signs for when to clean and warn guests of the train so they can bring earplugs. Regardless I give them 4.8"
