"The Royal Sea Cliff was exactly what we were looking for! It was so wonderfully quiet. We stayed in a little condo that had everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and clean! We have no complaints at all. The staff were fantastic! Thank you for a wonderful relaxing week! We hope to be back soon!"

"Property itself was very nice but the unit was older and was in need of some updates and repairs; cupboard doors did not close properly, stains and tears on sectional, ice maker broken on fridge etc… Also found nail clippings on the bathroom floor. Minor things, the pools and grounds were very nice though and we spent more time outside anyways."

"The location was excellent. You could walk out to multiple shopping and dining options. Our unit was well furnished in kitchen and beach acutriments. The bed was not comfortable. And putting a sqishy piece of foam on a mediocre matress does not help. Sheets and coverings lumped up and slid around. And a small item, but for this price you shouldnt need to but TP. But overall we liked it. Beach chairs, coolers, swim fins, beach towels all there."

"BEAUTIFUL!!! We decided on a last minute trip to the Big Island. We didnt really want to stay at a resort. So glad we came across Gingerhilll Farm Retreat. We stayed in Monkey Tree tent. The bed was so comfortable. Probably the best bed ive ever slept in besides our home one. We live on a farm so this place was a littler more noisy for us. Lots of frogs going off and a very abnoxious rooster that i feel needs to go in a stew pot.or be moved away from all the cabins. He starts crowing around 2am. Other then that the place was amazing. If your afraid of the dark and big spiders(harmless) this place is not for you. But if you want something off the wall and not a resort or you want a trip thats not going to hurt the pocket book i highly recommend Gingerhill Farm Retreat. Oh we are not a young couple. In our 50's and this was one of the better trips we have been on. So laid back. "

"Gorgeous ocean EXPERIENCE! All the rooms have a lovely sheltered lanai. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we never closed the door once. Loved the breeze and the ocean waves crashing on the sea wall below. Parking is TIGHT as stated. so do get a small rental car. Ali'i Drive is very busy so the car and motorcycle sounds were a (slight) downside. Fortunately the 24/7 ocean waves more than made up for it. We loved that it was a small property, not a big high-rise, and adults only. Our room was clean and comfortable and the whole property is well-maintained. Rooms have a kitchenette which is helpful as every visitor to Hawaii knows, meals are expensive. We fixed breakfast in our room every day (coffee maker, microwave and toaster; no stove) and a few lunches as well. Fridge was good size; no freezer though. Beachcombers should know that the closest beach is a brisk 5 minute walk away. Overall, would definitely recommend!"
