"This place is a real gem! Private deck overlooking the sea where whales are jumping, the waves crash into the pool and the landscaping is breathtaking. the pool is warm the closet hid a bed and there were tvs in the master bedroom and the living/dining room area. the dishwasher was dirty inside and some of the plates were not cleaned well but the views and quiet and ease of access to downtown and sight seeing was worth a few seconds of dish scrubbing. What a pleasure to stay in such a nice place...

"The only bad things were the television reception. Very poor quality. Master bedroom had problems with shower and water temperature. "

"This was the perfect location for our stay. We were a 1 mile drive from Magic Sands Beach and 1 mile drive to local shopping, dinning and entertainment! While we chose to drive everywhere, the location is totally walkable to all the attractions. Also, before booking I read reviews, and apparently other condos do not have AC. This one DOES have AC. "We really enjoyed our stay at Kona Reef. We lucked out and had a third floor unit with an amazing view (there are a few units without a good view) that made it for us. Quiet, clean, and the staff was very friendly and responsive. "

"Property itself was very nice but the unit was older and was in need of some updates and repairs; cupboard doors did not close properly, stains and tears on sectional, ice maker broken on fridge etc… Also found nail clippings on the bathroom floor. Minor things, the pools and grounds were very nice though and we spent more time outside anyways."

"This place is 15-20 minutes up the hill from any beach. Do not let that stop you from staying here. Worth the drive. The condo is on hole 3 of the golf course. Great views. The pool is 100ft away. Everything is clean and well stocked. The communication with the management company was exceptional. Check in and out was easy."

"The location was excellent. You could walk out to multiple shopping and dining options. Our unit was well furnished in kitchen and beach acutriments. The bed was not comfortable. And putting a sqishy piece of foam on a mediocre matress does not help. Sheets and coverings lumped up and slid around. And a small item, but for this price you shouldnt need to but TP. But overall we liked it. Beach chairs, coolers, swim fins, beach towels all there."

Spectacular hotel on one of the best beaches

"So as Marriott properties go, this one is spectactular. The beds were comfortable--great bathrooms, FREE washer dryer (so great at the end of the day to dry the bathing suits) and free water bottles and water filling stations everywhere. You also have access to the Mauna Kea (next hotel up the beach) where the food is better (and more expensive) and there's a different beach for a change of scenery. We rarely visit a place twice, but Hapuna Beach is pretty close to perfect. "

Great location for golf and nature lovers

"Quiet, spacious, well kept units with lots of amenities. Three bedrooms with comfortable beds, pillows, and linens. Lots of storage space. We stopped at Costco on our way from the airport (about 35 mins away). Loved seeing turkeys, nenes, and golfers on course from our back balconies."
