"We had a lovely time at the beluga, mainly due to the friendliness of the staff. Other good parts were the cleanliness of the room, food at the restaurant, the bar and bar prices and not to mention the outside pool/beach area. Some not so great bits, but of an unpleasant smell in our bathroom, and generally speaking the decor inside is tired and the sunbeds, parasols and cushions outside could really do with updating as they looked at the end of their life. "The buildings are quite dispersed and the walkways are uneven making it difficult to walk around the property. Also, the interior of the room also has uneven little steps in and out of the bathroom, a big tripped hazard. Breakfast selections were ok. The hot foods never seems to be served hot, Luke warm at best. The staff was definitely kind, cheerful and helpful. "

"Wonderful hotel. Clean, well maintained, two great pools and the nicest staff! Loved the punching bags and boxing gloves in the rooms, the bathtub was nice but our water only got luke warm, but was still pretty to look out at the beach. Drinks and food at restaurant are very expensive, but Happy Hour was decent. There are many other options if you walk down the busy Main Street to eat and drink. Great place!"

"Great location, beach just across the road. There was no cable stations apart from news. Suggest you bring iPad or computer. Otherwise the staff were fantastic, location & pool is lovely. Close to everything, very relaxing stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Villas by Weekender due to how central the resort is to all the action of Lamai Beach. Once you walk out of the resort you're in the middle of everything with lots to see and due all within walking distance. The great thing is that while you're on the property itself, it's very quiet and you don't get all the noise from the street. Our bungalow was comfortable and the staff were very quick to fix a small repair required to our toilet. The only complaint we had was...

"Lovely quiet resort and nice little pool. The beach is nice but you can’t really swim because of rocks but we just enjoyed pool time. It’s also just a couple of quid ride to the night market and all the eateries and stalls so a good little position. Food and drink nice at resort too. Our room was huge with a lounge and kitchen with little terrace and hanging chair - gorgeous! Staff were ALL so lovely :) "

Great stay but room for improvement

"Positives: Great stay in a villa. Very close to the pool & view of Gulf of Thailand. Breakfast was very good, service was excellent. Location is great away from the party strip. Negatives: should be no shirt, no shoes, no service in restaurant; no dogs in restaurant; 1 out of 2 coffee machines worked; after 30 mins belongings should be removed from pool loungers as people reserve then leave; as smoking of all types is permitted there should be a designated smoking area. "

"Hotel was great. The hotel is new which is nice. They upgraded us when we got there so our room was so big! Great location, close to lamai beach and lots of restaurants and lamai night market. Breakfast was a really good - range of food. Staff were super friendly, especially Lele!"
